About Us

Welding Metallurgy has established a strong tradition for manufacturing complex components and assemblies since 1979. We have the technical expertise and the capacity to provide turnkey solutions to challenging manufacturing projects. Now, as part of Air Industries Group, WMI is fortified for growth.

On February 22, 2008, WMI relocated to it´s new Hauppauge facility. The new facility features 125,000 sq ft and is on 6.83 acres. Welding Metallurgy is co-located with Air Industries Group Headquarters and Sigma Metals. Air Industries Group occupies 81,000 sq ft. WMI occupies 25,000 sq ft. Sigma Metals occupies 50,000 sq ft. AIG headquarters occupies 6,000 sq ft. 44,000 sq ft available for expansion.

The new facility layout provides for efficient flow of product through the manufacturing process, from raw material to final product shipment.
